It really looks like Slant Six is hard at work trying to get a huge miracle, I mean patch released to fix Socom Confrontation. Can you believe they announced this update a month ago? This is the longest it has taken them to get an update released, meaning this has to be a big one. They’re also probably trying to make sure this one doesn’t get released with more problems like previous patches have. There were many problems throughout the public beta and many still exist this very day. The game was released with many features missing like the matchmaking system, and trophies. There are guns missing, and the other special-ops factions missing. The release had a tremendously rough start with the servers going down and games freezing so much that you could barely ever play. They have pretty much fixed a majority of the stability issues already with patch 1.2. Now with patch 1.3 they plan to get missing features working (trophies pictured above), fix many bugs, and include some community requests for the game. Also for all you true veteran Socom players ranked games will finally have rocket launchers and grenade launchers disabled. There hasn’t been a date announced for the 1.3 patch, but hopefully we’ll see it soon. To help with the wait they have started posting quick sneak peek posts on their blog showing some features that 1.3 will have. The sneak peeks of 1.3 included trophies, drive-to-prone, D-pad lean, lefty control preset, transparent scoreboard, and quick display. So hopefully this update will regain everyone’s interest in this game again and bring back all the gamers who left this game. So if you’d like to read up on all these new features click .
