This season has revolved around three teams: the defending champs Boston Celtics, L.A. Lakers, and the Cleveland, Cavaliers. All three teams have a very good chance in making it to this season’s finals. The Celtics are on a hot 11-game winning streak, followed by the Cavs with an 8-game winning streak. LeBron James started the season off with high marks in ppg, although Dwyane Wade (28.4 ppg) has successfully captured that title…for now. Chris Paul is having another spectacular season, leading the league in assists (11.8 apg) and steals (2.81 spg). Dwight Howard has been playing…like Dwight Howard. He leads the league in rebounds (14.5 rpg) and blocks (4.10 bpg).

I know it’s early to talk about, but the NBA All-Star weekend has always been one of the most anticipated and favorite events of the year. One of my friends on Facebook wrote a note about his predictions on this year’s starting lineup for the All-Star game. This got me thinking as well. There has been several players that have stepped their game up and demanded attention from the basketball world. Devin Harris has been playing amazing, and caught me by surprise. He is averaging 24.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, and 6 apg. Danny Granger has also been having an amazing season, averaging 23.3 ppg, 4.9 rpg, and 2.8 apg.
But anyway, these are my predictions for this season’s All-Star Roster:
Eastern Conference
Starters
Allen Iverson (PG)
Dwyane Wade (SG)
LeBron James (SF)
Kevin Garnett (PF)
Dwight Howard (C)
Reserves
Chris Bosh (PF/C)
Devin Harris (PG)
Danny Granger (SF)
Caron Butler (SF)
Joe Johnson (SG)
Ray Allen (SG)
Paul Pierce (SF)
Western Conference
Starters
Chris Paul (PG)
Kobe Bryant (SG)
Carmelo Anthony (SF)
Amare Stoudemire (PF) or Tim Duncan (PF) (honestly, it’s going to be a close vote)
Yao Ming (C)
Reserves
Dirk Nowitzki (PF)
Brandon Roy (SG)
Chauncey Billups (PG)
Steve Nash (PG)
Kevin Durant (SG)
Al Jefferson (C)

I’m confident my roster predictions will be at least 80% correct. The Western Conference reserves were extremely hard to pick. The Wild Wild West has a massive variety of extremely talented players. But that doesn’t mean the Eastern Conference does not as well. There are several players that have proven themselves as superstars this season. And remember, YOU have a say in the roster choices! Don’t forget to vote for your all-stars !
Wade is really balling this year. He’s finally %100 healthy and winning that gold really helped his confidence. He’s really explosive this year.
Oh yea, please help my friends and I settle our disagreements once and for all at:
I’d really appreciate it.
