Finally word comes from the Slant Six Team on their Socom.com blog letting us know the official release date for the Socom Confrontation Beta which will be on September 1st. The developers at Slant Six also included how we can get access to these Beta codes. The first way they say is to preorder Socom Confrontation from Gamestop either online or in the store. At Gamestop you will get a code for yourself to get into the beta on day 1 and they even throw in two more codes for your friends to help spread the word about the game. It looks like they give you one code but once you use the code you can just give your friends that code. The code will only work two times after you use it though. This is great because now your team mates that you plan to play Socom with will have the beta and the whole team will be able to practice before the release of the final product. Then the other way Socom.com says to get involved on the Socom beta is for all the people who have already purchased the first episode of Playstations Qore video subscription. But if you are accessing the beta through Qore you will be able to play 7 days later than if you were to pre-order the game at Gamestop. Also if you are accessing the beta through Qore you do not get an extra 2 beta codes for your friends. So go out and pre-order your copy of the soon to be best tacticle shooter available, Socom Confrontation. So are you going to pre-order? I am actually going tomorrow to pre-order mine. So let me know.
