Killzone 2 Box Cover Revealed!!

Man isn’t this one of the coolest covers you’ve seen!? This game really looks like its going to live up to the huge hype for it, and will probably take over the Playstation 3 Shooter genre. Too bad the game isn’t set to released until February, but for now I guess you can cross your fingers and hope to get into the beta? hehe

This Box Cover Art was posted sometime today (Nov. 23, 2008) on the official Killzone website.

Slant Six’s Big Mistake

Socom has been a huge franchise for the Playstation that basically started online gaming for consoles. With the first couple of Socom’s a new community formed of skilled mature gamers that expect simply the best from Socom. The Socom series is best known for its gameplay, being a tacticle game, and its large community. Socom was the first to take advantage of the pressure sensitive buttons on the PS2 controllers introducing a whole new feature to shooters. It used this great new technology to create a very new leaning system where you could actually control how much your Navy Seal leaned to peer or shoot around corners. But proabably the biggest feature Socom was known for was its voice recognition system that was used in single player to command your team through levels. The Socom franchise was started by Zipper Interactive and has been theirs, until now. A fairly new developer, Slant 6, has taken over the Socom series but they have made one big mistake…

Street Fighter 4 Preview #2

There has been such a huge interest for Street Fighter IV that I just had to make another preview since the game was pushed back a couple months ago. This game looks great and I know many PS3 owners (and all you Xbox 360 and PC gamers) are excited to get this game in their hands asap. The sad thing is that it looks like we wont be seeing this game until February 2009. This game is already available as a coin-operated arcade game in arcades around Japan and limited amounts in North America. A great thing is that the home version of Street Fighter IV will have some extra characters that are not in the arcade version.

KillZone 2 Preview

Killzone 2 will probably be the main shooter you play on the Playstation 3. From gameplay videos seen at IGN.com the game looks to be a true next generation shooter. With great graphics, an experienced developer, and a great storyline this game promises to pleasure and FPS gamer. Killzone 2 has a good chance at taking over the Call of Duty audience. The trailer above was released in 2005, and if this was your first time seeing this trailer it probably got you excited for the game. Well this did happened for many of the gamers who saw this trailer back in 2005. The trailer really set everyones expectations for this game really high and excitment levels for this game rose. The developers at Guerrilla know this and since the reactions to the trailer they have strived to meet those expectations. There will be about 11 huge levels to provide hours of single player time with both fast pace and slow pace levels. There is destructable environment like many other shooters, but in this game they take it to a new level where huge buildings could be destroyed.

Iverson Trades to Pistons, Billups and McDyess to Nuggets

Iverson moves to Detroit, Billups and McDyess move to Denver

Iverson moves to Detroit, Billups and McDyess move to Denver

ESPN.com reported one of biggest trades since the Pau Gasol blockbuster deal. The Detroit Pistons has acquired Allen Iverson from the Denver Nuggets for their superstar point guard Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess. I was pretty shocked about the trade. I remember in the summer, there had been rumors of Carmelo Anthony going to the Pistons for Billups, but it never emerged to anything. However, this trade certainly caught me by surprise. I believe this was a very good trade for the Nuggets. Read More…

The iPod’s 7th Anniversary!

I came across this great video on 9to5Mac of the very first time the iPod was introduced by Apple. The first iPod was announced on October 23, 2001 and Steve Jobs said it was a large market. It took awhile for people to realize how right he was and it’s amazing to see how much Apple has progressed since that day. The first iPod I ever owned was the 3rd Generation iPod (pictured below) and man was that thing beautiful. It did not have one push button on it, every button was touch. But now the iPods are much thinner, with more memory, look even more beautiful, and they have better battery life. The first iPod had only 10 hours of music playing on its battery. Now they have the super small iPod Nano that has up 24 hours of music playing on one charge. Apple has come a long way since 2001 and now pretty much run the music industry with iPod + iTunes. I loved my 3rd Generation iPod so much it made me grow interest into the company, influencing me into getting an iMac and ever since I have been an Mac user. Click the read more link for a walkthrough of the iPod’s history. Happy Belated Anniversary to the iPod!

Apple’s New Ads Hit Hard

Recently Microsoft created their new “I’m a PC” ad to try and fight back against all the Apple ads. The message was that Windows is not only used in the business field and that “cool” people used PC’s too. The commercials were pretty affective at getting the message across, I have to admit, being a Mac user and all. The first thing that popped in my mind when I first saw the commercials was, “Man I’m really excited to see how Apple responds to this.” And wow these new ads from Apple really throw a hard counter punch. The better one of the two is called Bean Counter, and the other one is called V Word. They both take aim at Windows Vista and they really do hit Vista hard. So go check them out HERE and let me know how you felt about the ads in the comments! And in the Poll!

New Macbooks [Poll]

So did everyone see the new Macbook and Macbook Pro? They are really a thing of beauty, the most beautiful laptops I have ever seen. They really over did themselves with the uni-body design making the overall design of the laptop revolutionary. That glass trackpad looks pretty good too with the integrated button. The new graphics chips in the Macbook Pro is pretty amazing too. Also now for all you with a tight budget, like me, will be glad to know that the new Macbooks have Nvidia Graphics now. Now nobody will have to deal with those Intel GPUs. Now the only thing that I dislike about these laptops is that glass screen because of reflections. I have always been against glossy screens, they should have provided the option to choose the kind of screen. I guess we can adapt to the reflections? But the best thing about these new Macbooks are that they are extremely environmental. Anyways go check out the laptop and let me know what you think in the comments. And in the poll! :D

Finally Apple has made it official, they will be having an event to announce new notebooks. Many rumors have been going around on what will be new in the Macbooks. The infamous “Brick” rumor has been going around, hinting at a new manufacturing process used to make the notebooks out of a solid brick of aluminum. Even pictures have been spreading all over the internet from Asia with claims of being the new Macbook casing. You can see those pictures here with an explanation of what they think will be the new Macbook Pro. Many rumors have also been going around claming that the new macbooks will be much cheaper also. So what do all of you think? Will they be smaller? cheaper? new design? Will Apple release their own Netbook? Let me know in the comments below!

[Update]: There is a new rumor out that analyzes the picture above saying that they feel the Macbook in the picture is a 13in. Macbook in an alluminum case. This could mean the Macbooks will be alluminum or that there will be a new 13in. Macbook Pro. Check out Macrumors post about this here with the reasoning on how they got the measurments. Here’s a hint below:
